You may find yourself wondering what role foam rolling plays in preparing you for your workout.  We have received multiple questions on the significance of foam rolling prior to working out.  The simple answer is it loosens up the body’s muscles. Foam rolling is a method of self-massage, which works to release “knots” in the muscles. This decrease of tension can relieve pain (including knee, back and shoulder) as well as improve flexibility and posture for various exercises, such as squats and deadlifts.  Below, we will take a look at the importance of foam rolling and a dynamic warm-up prior to squatting.

I was the fat kid growing up. I was made fun of, picked on, and depressed. I felt helpless until I was 15 years old. When I was 15 I decided I would only eat dinner and work out in my strength workout shoes every day in an effort to lose weight.

Great Idea ;)

I lost 50 lbs in about 5 months. I kept it off until I started working at McDonald’s :)

Do you ever have food cravings?

I used to have them ALL the time. I just chalked it up as a sweet tooth. You know, something I had no control over.

Today, I hardly ever have food cravings. How? I have discovered one of the main reasons for food cravings. It all has to do with BALANCE.
